Social Microcosm: Yalom's theory is that the group becomes a social microcosm, and members' behavior in the group mirrors their outside behavior.
So that the group, and I'll say this again, I'm sure, as we go along, the group becomes a type of social microcosm for each of the members of the group.
And that, of course, illustrates this extremely important aspect of group theory, which is the idea that I alluded to in the previous tape, that the here-and-now, in the here-and-now, that the group operates as a social microcosm.
